Cubs vs. ????
The Chicago Cubs apparently played nobody on Sunday, and lost 7-2. Oh, wait, they played San Diego, who were wearing their camouflage uniforms. I didn't realize it was the Padres. They blended into the field.....
All kidding aside, I like these uniforms -- for San Diego. #1: San Diego is a military town. #2: It's the Padres. Not a lot of history there, so tinkering with the uniform doesn't offend me.

Wow, you actually made me LOL with this one. Well done!
ReplyDeleteAnd for the record, I think these Padre uni's are atrocious.
The Padres are following apporpriate flag etiquette as displayed ont their uniforms. Think of it as if they were carrying the flag on a staff marching into battle. The flag would be blowing in the opposite direction of travel. This is the appropriate way to wear the flag on the right shoulder and is worn this way on uniforms across the country by firefighters, police, EMS and the Military. Although at first glance it does look backwards it is a mirror image of a flag displayed on the left shoulder. Just a little semi-useless information to ponder. Oh yeah... Go Caps!
ReplyDeleteOh, I know and understand why. Like I said, it's a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteBut what happens when a player backpedals? :)
