I've already pointed out that the BoSox wore blue tops on Friday night.

Saturday & Sunday they wore the new road grays.

I think I like them.

But I have a huge problem with....

....the BLUE socks.
I give them credit for putting the red sox on the sleeves. I like that.

But shouldn't they be wearing red socks on their feet?
I mean, take a cue from the White Sox and wear....

Nevermind.
UPDATE: I just realized that the Sox have a road alternate hat that has the Red Sox logo on it and not the B. They wore them Friday night, but not Saturday and Sunday. Hate it! At some point I'll post a pix.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing about the socks. If the name of your team is the Red Sox it should be mandatory that you have some red in your socks. The alternate hats are awful as well. I never understand when teams play around with iconic uniforms. You never see the Yankees where an alternate third jersey. What would a Yankee alternate hat look like? I'm glad I don't know.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the socks on the sleeve, but agree, they should wear red socks!
ReplyDeleteUPDATE from UniWatch:
ReplyDeleteAs most of you know by now, the Red Sox have gone back to wearing red sox (and sleeves) on the road. But here’s a question: What will they do this Friday, when they’ll presumably be wearing their solid-navy Friday road jersey? Will they wear red hose with that (ugh — not a good idea), or are they now start packing a separate set of navy sox on road trips, just for use on Fridays? Or will they wake the fuck up and scrap the alternate jersey already because it’s a nothing but a douchebag merchandising move? Never mind, no chance of that happening.
